  4.     DIED. Paul Brown, 82, football innovator who founded and
  5. coached two professional teams, the Cleveland Browns and the
  6. Cincinnati Bengals; in Cincinnati. He started the Browns in 1946
  7. as part of the All-American Football Conference, which merged
  8. with the National Football League in 1950. By the time he was
  9. fired as the Browns' coach 13 years later, the team had won
  10. three N.F.L. championships. Brown was the first pro-football
  11. coach to use films of games to analyze player performance.
